Hands on Financial Controller required to join a well established business in Long Eaton, managing and developing a small team, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and Business partnering with sales and operations.

Description
*Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting across group entities including finance slides and commentary for monthly board deck with support of the Management Accountant
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements across UK, US, JP and EU including but not limited to VAT, Sales Tax, Corporation Tax, and audit obligations
* Manage year-end processes and liaise with external auditors Commercial Finance
* Partner with department heads (e.g. Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, Operations, Merchandising) to support data- driven decision-making and monitoring of overhead costs and stock levels
* Report on and analyse channel profitability across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail
* Track international performance and FX exposure
* Maintain 13 week cashflow forecast
* Manage weekly trading deck preparation Team Leadership
* Manage and develop a small finance team (AP, AR, Mgmt Accountant and junior finance staff)
* Drive a high-performance culture with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and commercial awareness Systems & Controls
* Oversee financial systems and process improvements, including ERP and integrations
* Maintain strong financial controls including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and risk management processes
* Maintain efficient cash collections and control over retails and online cash receipts
* Ensure accurate stock reporting across the business on a monthly basis.
* Support continuing development of finance systems where applicable
Profile
You will be a Qualified, hands on Financial Controller / Head of Finance with proven team management experience within an SME.
Commercially minded, a natural problem solver and capable of effectively partnering with a range of senior stakeholders in the UK and overseas, based a commutable distance from Long Eaton
