Laboratory Technician
*Location: Middlesbrough
*Job Type: Temporary Contract with the potential to go permanent
*Pay Rate: £12.30 - £13.33 per hour
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our client’s team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in helping to reduce the global environmental footprint by assisting in the development of green construction materials.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in completing scientific testing and production to ensure projects are delivered on time.
*Work closely with experts from various departments to foster knowledge-sharing and teamwork as we work toward a common goal.
*Prepare and test samples according to client or company-specified methods.
*Ensure our research and products stay reliable by accurately recording and maintaining laboratory data in our systems.
*Help sustain a safe, efficient, and high-standard workspace by following our lab housekeeping processes.
*Support seamless operations by managing stock levels and ensuring materials and supplies are always available.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A degree in Chemistry or Material Science or a related discipline
*Proficient using Microsoft Office
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*General lab/warehouse/site housekeeping
*Ability to carry out manual lifting
*Full UK driver’s licence, proficient to drive a 3.5T van.
*Experience in a research laboratory setting (preferred but not essential).
*Understanding of scientific principles and methodologies
