Electrician
*Salary: £18.16 per hour PAYE
*Location: Leicester
*Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week, potential temp to perm after 13 weeks
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in various settings including domestic, commercial, and industrial. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical components, wiring regulations, and safety protocols.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Install wiring systems across different settings.
*Fit and connect electrical components such as sockets, switches, lighting, and distribution boards.
*Interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
*Carry out initial verification of new installations to confirm compliance with BS 7671 standards.
*Use test equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
*Diagnose and repair faults in existing electrical systems and perform routine maintenance to prevent future issues.
*Maintain strict adherence to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and follow all relevant health and safety protocols.
*Keep accurate records of work completed, including test sheets, risk assessments, and method statements.
*Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and supervisors regarding progress or any issues encountered.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
*Inspecting and Testing Module, including initial verification.
*Certified in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
*Proven ability to handle and use necessary hand tools.
*Full valid driving licence is essential.
*Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
