Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: Up to £43,000 (DOE)
Location: Swindon
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our global medical manufacturing team. You will play a key role in ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Working as part of a dedicated team of three onsite engineers, you will deliver high-quality maintenance services that support our critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform maintenance and repairs on all plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
*Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors and service engineers.
*Conduct weekly tests and inspections to maintain machinery reliability.
*Report any changes in machine cycle profiles and associated maintenance requirements to the National Maintenance Manager.
*Ensure all equipment is serviced prior to quarterly and annual validation processes.
*Schedule and facilitate annual validation of plant equipment.
*Manage spare parts and tools inventory, advising on stock replenishment as needed.
*Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with the plant maintenance schedule and quality management system.
*Participate in an on-call rota and provide support at other sites within the Group when required.
Skills & Qualifications
*Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
*Apprenticeship, HND, or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
*Strong knowledge of hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and with management.
*Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota and travel to other sites when necessary.
