Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Legal Administrator to join a busy Real Estate team. The role also involves providing support to other departments such as Dispute Resolution, Corporate, and Environmental, Waste & Renewables when required, as well as covering colleagues’ holidays and assisting during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
*Typing correspondence and documents (including digital dictation and manuscript amendments)
*Running legal comparisons
*Drafting and sending letters, faxes, and emails
*Scanning, photocopying, and preparing documents
*Handling confidential information
*Diary and meeting management for senior staff
*Travel arrangements for senior staff
*Client interaction in person and by phone
*Preparing Land Register forms, LBTT returns, and other administrative documents
*Document delivery and collection
*Managing title deeds and related documentation
*Occasional travel between offices
*Supporting the setup and maintenance of systems and data resources
Additional tasks include:
*Month and year-end billing for allocated fee earners
*Drafting and issuing fee notes
*Completing cash entry forms
*Preparing forms for new clients/matters
*Client verification procedures
*Creating new matters and managing document filing
*Adapting to new processes and systems as implemented
Requirements
*Previous experience as a legal administrator in a legal environment
*Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
*Audio and copy typing speed of at least 60 wpm
*Proficiency in email and office equipment
*Ability to work with all levels of legal staff
*Professional telephone manner and client service skills
Successful candidates will be able to manage priorities effectively, work collaboratively, and be flexible in supporting the wider team.
