Job Description:
After School Club Key Worker
*Location: Fylde
*Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (negotiable), 15:10 – 17:30
*Contract Type: Part-time
Join our team as an After School Club Key Worker and contribute to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for pupils. This role is crucial in supervising activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the well-being of all children in accordance with school policies.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Supervise and engage pupils in a range of fun, age-appropriate activities after school.
*Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
*Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in line with school values.
*Prepare and organise resources for planned activities.
*Provide support for homework or quiet reading sessions where required.
*Communicate effectively with parents/carers during pick-up times.
*Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns to the Club Leader or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
*Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly.
*Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
*Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s development.
Desirable Skills:
*First Aid qualification.
*Food hygiene certificate.
*Previous experience in planning and delivering activities.
