Purchase Ledger Clerk
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Taunton
*Salary: £25,000 - £26,000
*Contract: 12-month FTC
Reed Accountancy is excited to partner with a dynamic organisation in Taunton in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for finance, offering an excellent opportunity to hone your skills in a supportive and vibrant environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
*Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accurate matching with purchase orders.
*Enter invoice data into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date records.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
*Prepare payment batches and process payments to suppliers efficiently
*Liaise effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues related to invoices or payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven track record as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
*Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Excellent data entry skills and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software is highly advantageous.
