Position Overview:
Accountant - Chessington, Surrey, Hybrid Working
We are seeking a proactive Accountant to support a fast-paced, growing, private-equity-backed organisation. The role sits at the core of the finance function and is ideal for someone who is confident with broad core accounting responsibilities and intercompany accounting.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will work closely with the UK and European Finance Teams and other internal stakeholders across Operations, Factory, Logistics etc
Key Responsibilities:
Core Accounting
*Own and maintain accounting across multiple entities (4 companies within the group).
*Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany,
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
*Manage intercompany accounting, across 4 companies within the group
*Work closely with the finance, factory and operations teams in Europe
Process Improvement & Controls
*Strengthen the end-to-end accounting control environment.
*Identify weak points in accounting and process workflows and implement improvements.
*Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and establish preventative controls.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
*Working closely with and translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders to ensure good practice is followed.
*Operations, O&M Teams
*Factory & Logistics Teams
*Finance Team and Project Accountant in Europe
Profile
*Experience in a similar role
*Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience
*Intercompany / Multi Entity experience is desirable but not essential
*Strong understanding of debits, credits, month end process , full trial balance.
*Industry background in construction, engineering, project-based, or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
*Strong Excel and systems skills
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being able to meet deadlines
*Confident communicating with non-finance teams.
*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with problems
Job Offer
£60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
