Technical Estimator

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a large engineering manufacturer who are seeking a Technical Estimator to join their growing Technical & Commercial Team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering accurate product costings, quotations, and customer support for engineered products.
The Role
As Technical Estimator, you will be responsible for:
*Accurately costing engineered products.
*Preparing quotations and responding to customer enquiries and RFQs in a timely manner
*Interpreting technical drawings and customer requirements
*Gathering information from production, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to feed into costing models
*Liaising with planning to confirm accurate lead times and priorities
*Developing, maintaining and improving costing tools
*Supporting trade compliance activities
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
*A degree or vocational qualification in a technical discipline, or equivalent time-served experience
*Experience in a relevant role, ideally within manufacturing
*Strong ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings
*Experience or knowledge of product costing
*Knowledge of industrial sectors such as marine, energy, automotive or aerospace
Skills & Competencies
*Strong maths and IT skills (spreadsheets)
*Good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances and machining processes
*High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
*Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
*Team-oriented, proactive and able to work independently to tight deadlines
