Interim Management Accountant
Location: Preston (4 days on site preferred, minimum 2-3 days)
Day Rate/Salary: Equivalent to £55,000
Duration: 3-6 months initially, with scope to extend
An opportunity has arisen for a Interim Management Accountant to support a growing organisation during a period of transition. Working closely with both the People and Finance teams, this role will suit someone who is hands-on, detail-focused, and confident managing end-to-end accounting and payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate monthly management accounts and associated reporting

* Oversee the complete payroll process (this is essential for the role)

* Manage the full payment cycle, including reconciliations and supplier management

* Quickly get to grips with current systems, identifying areas for improvement

* Provide oversight and day-to-day support to two team members

* Contribute positively to a collaborative, low-ego working environment

What We’re Looking For:
* ACCA/CIMA

* Strong experience in payroll management

* Proven background in management accounting within a fast-paced environment

* Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity

* Experience managing or supporting small teams is desirable

* Ability to build relationships across finance and people functions
