Job Role: CNC Grinder
Location: Leicester, LE18
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: 37-hour contract - 3 shift pattern (morning, afternoon and night rotation)*
Pay Rate: £18.38 per hour including shift allowance
*Training will be on a day shift
Optima UK have an exciting new opportunity for a CNC Grinder / Machine Operator to work in a well established manufacturing facility in the Leicestershire area.

About The Company:

The company specialise in safety-critical environments, providing design, manufacturing, testing, obsolescence management, and maintenance/repair capabilities.
The Role:
To operate CNC Machines (Grinding and EDM) in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating CNC Grinding Machines, ensuring that parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification

* Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups

* Understanding of engineering drawings

* Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issuesOperating CMM machines to support inspection requirement

The candidate:
* Previous experience in CNC Grinding is advantageous but not essential

* Previous experience in CNC machining is advantageous

* Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous

* Ability to read engineering drawings

* Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
