Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on a retained basis with KP Snacks as they look to bring in a new Site Financial Controller for their Hellaby site in Rotherham.
KP Snacks is proud to be part of the Intersnack Group. With an annual turnover of more than €3 billion, the Intersnack Group has grown and flourished to become a market leader in savoury snacks, present in over 30 countries across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and beyond, employing more than 14,000 employees and 44 factories globally (33 in Europe, 3 in Australia, 3 in New Zealand, 2 in India and 3 in Vietnam). The production facility at Hellaby is one of 7 sites in the UK for KP Snacks and employs over 180 people. Its operations include processing, packing and preparing nuts for the KP Snacks’ brand and the plant continues to look at ways of improving efficiencies as well as driving innovation for new products.
They are currently looking to recruit a commercially and operationally astute Site Financial Controller to work directly for the Site Plant Manager. This hugely varied and autonomous role will be a member of the Hellaby Site Leadership team and will be responsible for supporting the Plant Manager and the Leadership team to drive the P&L, achieve performance of KPIs and improve colleague engagement across the site. This role will be based at site 5 days a week with ocassional travel to other sites/locations in the UK (Approx. once a month)

Duties will include but not limited to: -
*Work as part of the leadership team to drive the site’s Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures
*Coach and support teams on the shop floor
*Lead activities to understand financial constraints and opportunities to enable and provide constructive challenge to all cost centre managers as well as manufacturing and supply chain costs in order to drive improvements.
*Drive and influence the factory in loss quantification and project prioritisation strategies.
*Provide constructive challenge to all cost centre managers in order to drive improvements
*Site lead for site financial planning, budgeting and forecasting - including primes, overheads, logistics and capital
*Work with other KP Site Finance Controllers and central functions to unlock opportunities through sharing of best practice
*Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and KPIs for site. Meaningfully communicate these to all areas of the business
*Management of site accruals and prepayments as well as inventory reconciliations
*Capital project approval and investment appraisal. Asset management including timely additions, disposals and verification
*Play an integral part in change programs across the site focusing on supporting new product launches and capital installations, including all Project Tracking, e.g., waste, energy benefits
*Maintain Financial Control across all functions at site in the preparation of period end financial reporting
*Complete product costings for new product development and tender processes
*Management and oversight of year-end inventory processes
*Support with annual audit for external auditor queries related to manufacturing site
*Be constantly looking at ways to improve and streamline processes to ensure all activities add value
*Be instrumental in the implementation of the new ERP system
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experiences: -
*FMCG/ Manufacturing sector experience
*CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified
*FP&A experience
*Leadership experience
*Advanced knowledge of Excel (Power BI experience would also be highly desirable)
*Self-motivated and takes ownership of tasks and ability to drive results
*Strategic and forward thinking
*Effective Business Partnering & influencing skills
*First class communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels
*Ability to coach individuals at all levels
