We are seeking a Recycling Operative on behalf of our client to assist and advise customers on the proper disposal of waste materials at their Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS),
*Location: Market Harborough and Kibworth
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
9am - 4pm - working weekends, 2 days off in the week.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist and guide customers in the recycling and disposal of waste materials, actively showing and helping rather than just directing.
*Ensure that different types of waste are not mixed and are separated correctly to maintain high recycling purity.
*Oversee the cleanliness and contamination levels of recyclates before they are sent to disposal points.
*Maintain RHWS services in line with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems.
*Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
*Manage permit checks for vans and trailers, or for permitted waste types.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage positively with the public.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Good physical condition, as the role involves manual handling and outdoor work.
