Job Description:
Benefits Assessor
Location: Blackpool
Type: Full-Time, hybrid once trained
Pay: £16.62–£18.36hr DOE
Reed is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Assessment Visitor to join an Adult Services team based in Blackpool. This is a key role in ensuring accurate financial assessments, advising customers on care service charges, and helping maximise income while delivering outstanding service.
Key Duties:
*Visit homes/residential settings to verify details and complete benefit forms
*Calculate service charges and register property charges
*Advise customers on care costs and debt recovery options
*Prepare accurate invoices and maintain records
*Liaise with internal teams and external agencies
Skills:
*Knowledge of financial assessments, legislation, and benefits
*Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills
*Ability to manage varied workload and maintain accuracy
