Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and credit card statements with accuracy and efficiency to ensure smooth financial administration.
* Prepare and execute regular payment runs in accordance with company policies while maintaining organised financial records for audit readiness.
* Support month-end and year-end processes by entering data accurately and completing tasks promptly to facilitate robust reporting.
* Prepare and maintain overhead forecasts that aid cost control and strategic planning for the studio’s ongoing projects.
* Collaborate with project teams to forecast revenue in alignment with project progress and pipeline visibility.
* Assist in preparing financial schedules that underpin senior leadership decision-making through reliable information.
* Manage credit control processes by maintaining regular contact with clients to ensure timely receipt of payments and proactively escalating issues when necessary.
* Monitor aged debtors while maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the billing cycle.
* Assist in producing monthly management accounts by ensuring accuracy of recorded financial activity and reconciling balance sheet accounts each month.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts that provide visibility of upcoming commitments and receivables while tracking key financial metrics across the business.
The Ideal Candidate:
* 1-3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting support role where you have demonstrated reliability in handling sensitive data.
* Strong numerical skills paired with exceptional attention to detail that ensures accuracy across all financial records.
* Excellent organisation abilities enabling you to manage multiple deadlines effectively within a busy studio setting.
* Outstanding communication skills allowing you to liaise confidently with clients as well as internal teams across departments.
* Proactive attitude towards collaboration; comfortable working within small creative teams focused on shared goals.
* Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or similar platforms for efficient transaction processing.
* Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills including formulas and data analysis for robust reporting capabilities.
* Solid understanding of basic accounting principles along with practical bookkeeping experience supporting daily operations.
* Experience managing credit control processes or payment processing is advantageous for this role.
* A degree or qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field preferred; working towards AAT or similar qualification is an advantage.
