Housing Administrator
Location: Harlow
Contract Type: Temporary until March 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 5pm 1 hr lunch (office based)
Salary: £16.40 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Housing Assistant to join our existing client. This role is integral to delivering a first-class housing management service that is efficient, value for money, and meets the highest standards of customer care. My client has 2 new projects going on and they need someone who is very proactive to hit the ground running.
As a Housing Assistant, you will support the team in all aspects of housing management, working closely with colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide advice, assistance, and signposting to customers on housing-related enquiries, including rents, tenancy matters, empty homes, and tenant participation.
*Setting up appointments for officers
*Creating appointments letters, ensuring they are prepared and ready to be sent out
*Help with tenancy audit to ensure a smooth 100% success rate
*Administration and data entry
*Support officers with housing management duties and provide additional assistance as required.
*Maintain accurate records, case notes, and statistical information.
*Handle routine correspondence such as references, right-to-buy enquiries, and transfer requests.
*Arrange and attend public and internal meetings as needed.
*Undertake specific projects and contribute to team plans and local strategies.
*Work flexibly to cover colleagues during absences and assist with training new staff.
*Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality and diversity, GDPR, and health and safety standards.
