Purchasing Administrator
Location: Shipley / Leeds
Salary: c£27,500
Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Are you organised, proactive, and experienced in procurement or administrative support?
Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the procurement team in ensuring smooth operations and accurate order processing.
The Purchasing Administrator will:
*Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and supplier details
*Liaise daily with Scheduling and Expediting teams to track supplier performance
*Maintain and update supplier records, supporting onboarding and compliance
*Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, invoices, and delivery notes
*Support internal reporting and KPIs, while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
*Provide cover where needed within the department, contributing to process improvements and efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required:
*1–3 years’ experience in administrative or procurement support, ideally within manufacturing/engineering
*Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment and able to prioritise your workload
*GCSEs or equivalent; further education in Business Administration, Procurement, or Supply Chain is desirable
*Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
*Strong data management, interpretation, and reporting skills.
