We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom preparation, and individual student support. This is a full-time temporary position, ideal for someone passionate about education and child development, with the flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
· Support the preparation of classroom materials and resources
· Provide one-to-one support for students with learning difficulties or additional needs
· Supervise pupils during classroom activities, playtimes, and transitions
· Help with student assessments and maintain accurate records
· Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements:
· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
· Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
· Enhanced DBS check on the update system (essential)
· Prior experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable)
· Understanding of child development and learning processes
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail
· First Aid certification (preferred)
· Additional training or qualifications in education or childcare (preferred)
Working Conditions:
· Full-time or part-time hours
· Classroom-based role, working closely with young children
· May involve physical tasks such as setting up equipment or supporting active play
