School Business Manager

*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:40 – 16:00
*Start Date: ASAP
*Duration: Until the school appoints a permanent candidate (At least New Year)
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized School Business Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. This key leadership role is responsible for managing the school’s financial, administrative, and operational functions to ensure smooth day-to-day running.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee the school’s financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
*Manage HR processes, payroll, and staff recruitment in line with school policies.
*Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and school governance requirements.
*Lead on procurement and contract management for goods and services.
*Supervise administrative staff and ensure efficient office operations.
*Support the Headteacher and senior leadership team with strategic planning and resource allocation.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience as a School Business Manager or similar role within an educational setting.
*Strong knowledge of financial management and HR processes.
*Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
*Proficient in MS Office and school management systems.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
*Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
