Job Description:
*Job Type: Part-time (Afternoons only, 5 days a week)
*Start Date: January 5th
REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a ’Good’ primary school in Preston. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching Key Stage 2 pupils and is available to work every afternoon during the school week. The position starts in the new year and will run up until the summer term. The role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the educational progress of Year 5 children.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for Year 5 children.
*Assess and record childrens’ progress, preparing them for end-of-year expectations.
*Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share effective teaching methods.
*Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
*Participate in school meetings and events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
*Previous experience in Key Stage 2 is preferred.
*Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods suitable for Year 5.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to engage students and promote an effective learning environment.
*Flexibility and creativity in teaching approaches.
