* Take full ownership of the month-end process, including KPI analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Lead the delivery of quarterly, interim, and final audits across Group entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth coordination.

* Oversee preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory submissions, producing timely, high-quality outputs.

* Support the Finance Director across all areas of accounting, deputising when required.

* Ensure accurate monthly recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.

* Conduct analytical reviews, providing clear insights to senior management and key committees.

* Develop and manage the year-end audit timetable, fostering effective collaboration across teams.

* Stay up to date with technical accounting standards and implement required updates.

* Build strong relationships across Finance and the wider organisation to enhance processes, controls, and reporting.

* Lead, mentor, and develop your team, promoting a culture of excellence, learning, and continuous improvement.

Essential:
* Fully qualified CCAB accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent).

* Experience preparing statutory accounts and leading audits.

* Strong understanding of financial control frameworks and accounting standards.

* Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and develop high-performing teams.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

* Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP’s D365, and Power BI is desirable.
