Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join one of London’s largest environmental services businesses, working in a large finance function with endless progression opportunities. You’ll be working in a large finance function, with full study support provided with the aim of progressing to management accountant upon completion.

The business have an exciting pipeline of projects lined up for the new year, you will be business partnering closely with the operations team to deliver on said projects.
Description
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
*Prepare and process journal entries, ledger transactions, and reconciliations accurately and timely.
*Producing accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis for the contract and reporting results to Contract Manager, Finance Manager, and operational managers.
*Preparing forecasts and budgets in liaison with finance teams - providing support and advice where required.
*Support the wider Municipal finance team with audit queries and pricing queries from clients.
*Support data collection and basic analysis of operational KPIs and financial performance of the contract
*Collaborate with other team members to complete balance sheet reconciliations
*Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
*Support month-end and year-end close processes.
*Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
*Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
*Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*Part-qualified accountant, studying ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
*Experience in month-end reporting.
*Previous business partnering experience across departments.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
