SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description:
*Daily Rate: £14.63-£16.35 p/hr
*Location: Rawtenstall, BB4
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a temporary position from January 2026 and is expected to last for the academic year!

The role is required for 5 mornings per week from 08:30 – 12:05.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Main duties include working with a class of pupils in Year 4/5 with high needs.
*Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
*Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
*Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
*Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
*Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
*Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
*Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
*Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
