Are you a committed teaching assistant who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs? My client, a friendly primary school in Havering, is looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join their behaviour support team.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant who can provide targeted behaviour support across the school. As a behaviour-focused teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to help pupils develop positive learning habits and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support as a teaching assistant
* Help implement behaviour plans and structured interventions
* Build trusting relationships with pupils who require additional support
* Support classroom learning and maintain a calm environment
* Use effective behaviour and de-escalation strategies
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
* Has experience as a teaching assistant, ideally supporting behavioural or SEMH needs
* Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Communicates well and works collaboratively with staff and families
* Is committed to helping pupils thrive
