SEND Support Assistant - Street, Somerset Location: Street, Somerset
Pay: £14.66 per hour (PAYE) or £16.14 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a SEND Support Staff to join a specialist school in Somerset, supporting students in aged 5 - 18 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Autism, Anxiety and associated needs.
The Role *Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism, Anxiety and associated needs.
*Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour strategies.
*Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
*Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
Requirements *Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs (school or care setting).
*Strong communication and resilience skills.
*Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour.
*Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
*Right to Work in the UK
