Job Description:
ICT Teacher
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: South Cumbria
*Salary: Competitive, in line with Teacher Pay Scale
Reed Education is seeking a dynamic ICT Teacher for a long-term role starting in January at a secondary school in South Cumbria. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is also advantageous.
*Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
*Maintain high standards of classroom management to ensure a constructive learning environment.
*Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
*Participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as ICT clubs or school outings, to enhance the learning experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
*Recent and relevant experience teaching ICT at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
*Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner.
*Reliable, committed, and capable of demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and politeness.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be patient and confident when working with children.
