Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Business Development Lead to join our client’s Sales department in Leicester. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is pivotal in driving sales and business development activities internally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer interactions, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Handle customer enquiries over the phone in a professional manner.
*Investigate, research, and identify new business opportunities from dormant and new accounts.
*Ensure customer service levels exceed customer expectations.
*Create and close quotations/enquiries accurately and promptly.
*Issue quotes to customers on the same day they are collated and communicate any delays effectively.
*Produce all aspects of quotes as directed by the Branch Manager.
*Follow sales strategies created and implemented by the Sales Director.
*Proactively call customers to chase orders, quotes, and purchase orders.
*Prioritise all sales-related tasks and activities.
*Liaise daily with Area Sales Managers regarding the processing of all sales documentation, lead generation, and provide necessary assistance.
*Update internal systems with quote notes and files, and job cards with photos, notes, and files.
*Manage general sales administration tasks.
*Perform any other duties as directed by the company within your capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience and track record in sales.
Excellent customer service skills.
Concise and clear communication skills.
Exceptional telephone manner.
Customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Organised and capable of maintaining composure under pressure.
