Reed Accountancy are partnered exclusively with a repeat client in Reading to hire a Credit Controller into their team of two. Working as part of a small, close-knit accounts team, reporting into the Operations and Accounts Manager, you will be focussing on Credit Control within a well-established and growing business. The company works with major clients, including the NHS, so you’ll need to be confident chasing payments via phone, email, and online portals. They have made fantastic progress reducing aged debt over the last two years and are looking for someone who can help continue that success.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (fully office-based) - Bright and newly refurbished offices.
Duties include:
*Managing credit control for a busy ledger (approx. £900k invoiced monthly)
*Chasing overdue payments and building relationships with clients
*Working with SAP exports and Excel spreadsheets to keep everything accurate
Key Skills and attributes:
*Strong Excel skills and confidence with IT systems
*Previous credit control experience (minimum 1 year)
*A friendly, approachable personality – someone who enjoys being part of a team
*Ability to adapt to different client processes and portals
*Ability to build relationships and establish rapport with a variety of different individuals
