Description
*Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
*Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
*Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
*Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
*Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with regulations.
*Monitor and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
*Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
*Supporting with payroll preparation.
*Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*A background in accounting or finance within a similar role.
*Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
*Experience with SAP and Sage.
*Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
*A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
