Job Description:
Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a welcoming Primary School in Chichester who are seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher to join their SEN nurture group provision from January 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting pupils with social, emotional, and learning needs in a safe, structured, and caring environment. * Delivering high-quality teaching within the nurture group, tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
* Planning and delivering personalised interventions that focus on both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
* Creating and adapting resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
* Supporting pupils to develop social skills, self-esteem, and positive relationships with peers and adults
* Working closely with the SENCo, Headteacher, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support
* Promoting inclusion and helping pupils transition successfully back into mainstream classes when appropriate
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2, ideally with SEN or nurture group involvement
* Strong understanding of nurture principles and inclusive practice
* Empathy, patience, and creativity in supporting children with additional needs
* A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
Role details:
* Location: Chichester
* Position: SEN Nurture Group Teacher
* Start date: January 2026
* Duration: Long-term, ongoing
* Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)
* Pay: In line with Main Teacher Pay Scale
Why join Prospero Teaching?
* Free, accredited CPD courses including safeguarding, SEN strategies, and behaviour management
* Access to our in-house Training and Development Team
* Ongoing support from an experienced local consultant who will guide you through opportunities and provide tailored advice
If you’re passionate about nurture education and want to help pupils with SEN reach their full potential, we’d love to hear from you.
