Import/ Export Coordinator

Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Import/Export Coordinator to support the Export Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Import/Export department for a client in the West Yorkshire region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to manage sales orders from acknowledgement through to shipment, ensuring all export and import activities are completed accurately and in line with global regulations.
Key Responsibilities as the Import/Export Coordinator
*Process and progress customer orders, enquiries, and quotations
*Create worldwide shipping documentation using Formwise
*Organise and prepare paperwork for imported goods
*Negotiate freight rates and liaise with freight agents
*Finalise certificates of shipment and associated export documents
*Collaborate with the Accounts team on freight and purchase invoices
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer price lists
*Respond to website enquiries and liaise with distributors
*Organise shipments
*Ensure full compliance with relevant export laws and procedures
*General administrative duties to support the department
Candidate profile
*Experience and knowledge of Import/Export processes (essential)
*Dangerous Goods experience (highly desirable)
*Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel; Sage/Formwise experience beneficial
*Excellent customer service skills
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
*Able to work independently and use initiative
*A full driving licence is preferred
