Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting our client with appointing an ambitious and driven Process Engineer to join their teams! If you are looking to take on a Process Engineer role where you can genuinely influence how products are made, not just tick boxes then this one could be for you!
This position sits within a specialist manufacturing environment producing complex, high-precision components for the industrial gas turbine sector. You’ll be joining a business that’s proud of its engineering heritage, with plenty of new product introduction activity as well as long-standing legacy work that still needs clever thinking and continuous improvement.
As a Process Engineer, you’ll work hand in hand with Process Owners, Engineers and wider production teams to make sure manufacturing processes run smoothly, reliably and efficiently. If you enjoy figuring out what the data is really saying, spotting improvements others might miss and taking ownership of solutions, you’ll probably thrive here. The set-up suits someone proactive, self-driven and confident making decisions without needing constant oversight.
What you’ll be doing as a Process Engineer • Writing clear technical work instructions and shop-floor documentation
• Collecting, interpreting and acting on production and trial data
• Spotting improvement opportunities through observation and analysis
• Auditing processes, equipment and operator activity to ensure compliance
• Feeding back audit results and supporting corrective actions
• Carrying out routine process checks to support daily production
• Monitoring scrap levels and driving reduction activities
• Ensuring adherence to SOPs and wider business standards
• Supporting EHS policies, training and safe working practices
• Working closely with Quality and Production to strengthen process capability
• Taking on any reasonable duties that support smooth manufacturing operations
What good looks like • Staying on top of daily process parameters and reporting
• Maintaining and updating Critical to Process and Critical to Quality data
• Working collaboratively on concurrent engineering projects
• Troubleshooting manufacturing issues, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Using analytical tools to drive process control and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring • A degree in an engineering discipline (BSc) plus relevant experience, or BSc with MSc
• Experience in investment casting or a similar environment
• Knowledge of wax shop processes is essential
• Understanding of temperature measurement and control systems
• A grounding in materials science, mechanical or industrial engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A sharp eye for detail
• Confident communication and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Exposure to change management
• Solid IT skills across MS Office
What’s on offer This Process Engineer role is seen as a direct progression route towards a Process Owner position, with plenty of interaction across Production, Quality and Engineering. You’ll have access to training and development, including opportunities such as Six Sigma Green Belt.
