Permanent Position
Salary: £35,000–£50,000 (DOE & qualifications)
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 2 off – 2 on / 3 off, 6am–6pm
About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading UK food manufacturer specialising in high-quality beef and meat products for major retailers and food-service customers. We are looking for two Maintenance Engineers due signification operational growth to join their expanding engineering function.
These role offers a fantastic opportunity for Engineers looking to develop within a high-performing team. We’re looking for strong electrical/mechanical maintenance background within engineering and manufacturing environments, ideally working on food machinery/manufacturing.
About You
*ONC Level 3 (minimum) or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
*Understanding of both electrical and mechanical principles (bias in either is acceptable)
*Experience in maintenance within an engineering environment (junior to mid-level)
*Food manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
*17th/18th Edition qualification beneficial but not required
Role Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of production/packaging machinery
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability
*Reduce downtime and increase productivity through proactive engineering support
*Manage workloads via the maintenance board, ensuring accurate documentation and completion of worksheets
*Perform mechanical tasks, machine strip-downs, rebuilds, and general engineering duties
