SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Immediate Start
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Barnsley. About the Role
*Support pupils aged 4–11 with a range of needs, including:
*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
*Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
*Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
*Work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored learning and behaviour strategies.
*Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and promote independence and confidence.
*Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to create a positive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
*Essential: Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
*Patience, empathy, and resilience.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
