Advanced Technical Trainer – Construction PlantLocation: Cheshire
Salary: up to £39,000
Contract:37 hours per week, Permanent
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality training in Construction Plant Operations and Maintenance. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a commitment to developing the next generation of skilled professionals in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities*Design, develop, and deliver advanced technical training programs for construction plant equipment.
*Provide hands-on instruction in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of plant machinery.
*Ensure training meets industry standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
*Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
*Keep training materials up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices.
*Collaborate with industry partners to maintain relevance and quality of training.
About You*Proven experience working with construction plant machinery (e.g., excavators, loaders, cranes).
*Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanical systems.
*Recognised teaching or training qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
*Excellent communication and presentation skills.
*Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying skill levels.
*Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
