FP&A Analyst
Doncaster, South Yorkshire

We’re supporting a well-established, people-focused organisation that is looking to strengthen its finance team with a proactive and analytical finance professional. This role plays an important part in the month-end cycle, management reporting and ongoing business performance analysis.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, helping to ensure accurate reporting, insightful commentary and continuous improvement across processes. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear insights and wants to influence decision-making in a growing, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities
*Support the month-end reporting timetable through preparation of journals, accruals and detailed variance analysis to maintain accurate P&L results
*Collaborate with Financial Control and other teams during monthly reporting, as well as during interim and year-end audit periods
*Prepare clear monthly performance analysis, highlighting variances against budget, forecast and targets
*Produce monthly reporting packs for senior leadership and internal committees
*Monitor and analyse cost performance, providing clear explanations of trends and underlying drivers
*Review, streamline and enhance existing processes to deliver more efficient reporting and added-value insight
*Provide analytical support for commercial and sales functions, including performance tracking and trend reviews.

What We’re Looking For
*Strong analytical ability with confidence in handling and interpreting large data sets
*Good working knowledge of Excel
*Someone who can prioritise effectively, take ownership and work to tight deadlines
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
*Comfortable working independently within a fast-paced, evolving environment
*A relevant finance/accounting degree or AAT qualification (full or part)
