MFL French Teacher

Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic MFL French Teacher to join a school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
*Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and achievement.
*Maintain effective classroom management skills.
*Serve as a good role model for students, demonstrating qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
*Work reliably and commit to the role, demonstrating patience and confidence when working with children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
*Recent relevant experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
*Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
*Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, and the ability to be patient and confident when working with children.
