Freight Forwarder – Southampton

Join one of the UK’s fastest-growing logistics companies as a Freight Forwarder. With offices across the UK and Europe and over 250 global network locations, we are expanding our team in Southampton to include a proactive and experienced individual.
Key Responsibilities:
*Efficiently manage and process multimodal freight shipments.
*Book shipments with shipping lines, agents, and hauliers.
*Provide exceptional customer service by tracking shipments and keeping clients informed.
*Handle customs clearance processes for both imports and exports.
*Create orders, negotiate rates, and manage invoices to maximise profit margins.
Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in multimodal freight forwarding operations.
*Knowledge of customs clearance processes is preferred but not essential.
*Strong understanding of transport and global logistics.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Robust negotiation skills to secure the best deals.
*Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
*Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
*Strong IT literacy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
