SEND Teacher – SEND Provision Temp to Perm basis.
Location: Reading
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: MPS/UPS
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? A welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs. While QTS is not essential, the school is open to offering this pathway to the right candidate, making this role an excellent opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with diverse needs
*Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
*Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic progress
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCo, and external agencies
*Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
What They’re Looking For
*Experience working with children or young people with SEND (Autism, SEMH desirable)
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and learning
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
*Willingness to learn and develop professionally – QTS can be supported for the right candidate
