Supply & Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistants Needed
Location: NW6 & NW10 | Primary & Secondary SEN School
Are you a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking committed Supply and Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school located across the NW6 and NW10 areas.
About the School This specialist school supports children and young people across Primary and Secondary age groups with a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, PMLD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. The school is well-resourced, inclusive, and led by a highly supportive senior leadership team who value their staff and encourage professional development.
Your Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
* Help pupils develop communication, social, and independence skills
* Use a range of SEN strategies including visual supports, sensory activities, and behaviour-support approaches
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
What We’re Looking For * Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or community settings welcomed)
* A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude
* Ability to commit to either flexible supply work or a long-term position
