Building Control Officer
*Type: 4-month Contract
*Location: On-site, 3 days a week
*Salary: £50 - £60 per hour (Umbrella)
We are seeking a Building Inspector with a minimum Class 2A qualification to join our team. This role is focused on domestic and small dwelling projects, including extensions, housing sites, new builds, and alterations to existing houses. This position does not involve commercial properties or flats.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Conduct 8–10 site inspections per day within the local area.
*Perform plan checking for projects outside the local area.
*Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
*Provide clear, accurate reports following inspections.
*Liaise with contractors, developers, and homeowners to resolve compliance issues.
*Support the team during permanent recruitment coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 2A qualification in Building Control or equivalent.
*Proven experience in inspecting domestic properties and small dwellings.
*Strong knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards.
*Ability to manage a high volume of inspections efficiently.
*Excellent communication and reporting skills.
