Interim Financial Controller
3-6 Months
Rotherham based - fully site based
£80,000 - £85,000
Elevation Recruitment is working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business in Rotherham who are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to support them through a period of change. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to parachute in and make an immediate impact.
The Role:
The Interim Financial Controller will drive financial performance, maintain robust controls, and provide accurate reporting to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day finance function, including month-end, year-end, and management reporting.
* Oversee costing, inventory, WIP, and production-related financial controls.
* Monitor stock, WIP, and inventory accuracy, supporting regular stock takes and valuations.
* Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
* Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to support decision-making and drive efficiencies.
* Improve and maintain financial systems, policies, and procedures.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, engineering, industrial, or similar).
* Strong understanding of costing, stock, and manufacturing finance processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
* Proficient in ERP/manufacturing systems and advanced Excel.
