Credit Controller – Coventry

Reed Accountancy are delighted to partner with our Coventry-based client in recruiting an experienced Credit Controller to join their established finance team.
Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager and working collaboratively within a team of six, this is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
*Setting up new client accounts and conducting Experian credit checks
*Monitoring and managing the aged debtor ledger
*Accurate cash allocation and account reconciliations
*Resolving queries promptly and professionally
*Regular liaison with internal sales teams to ensure smooth processes
*Assisting with cashflow forecasting and contributing to debtor day reduction
About You
The ideal candidate will be a confident and proactive Credit Controller with:
*Proven experience in credit control within a busy finance environment
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with external stakeholders
*Tenacity and resilience to manage challenging situations and drive positive outcomes
*Excellent problem-solving ability for handling queries and escalations
*Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUP functions)
