SEN Secondary Teacher
*Salary: Paid to scale
*Location: Plymouth
*Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
*Contract Term: Full-time

We are currently seeking a qualified SEN Secondary Teacher who is ready to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs, focusing on students with SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
*Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that fosters learning and personal growth.
*Employ effective classroom management techniques and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
*Collaborate closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and other professionals to enhance educational outcomes for students.
*Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to safeguarding and SEN education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a secondary educational setting; experience in SEN settings is highly advantageous.
*Strong understanding of the educational needs associated with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
*Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively and adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
*Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and supporting pupils with diverse educational challenges.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for working collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with readiness to undertake relevant training.
