About the Role
We are looking for dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils aged 3–19 with complex medical needs, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and sensory impairments.
This setting provides a highly personalised curriculum and a nurturing environment where pupils can develop communication, independence, and life skills. If you have experience in care, support work, or education, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide individualised support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex medical needs.
*Assist with personal care and mobility, including moving & handling.
*Support pupils with communication strategies such as Makaton, PECS, and assistive technology.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver a tailored curriculum based on EHCP targets.
*Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour.
*Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld at all times.
Ideal Background

*Special schools or mainstream education supporting SEN pupils.
*Health and social care, including dementia care or residential support.
*Support work in community or care settings.

Essential Skills
