Job Description:
Tax Senior - Warwickshire - up to £55,000
*Are you a tax specialist who enjoys complex work?
*Do you thrive in dealing directly with clients and building long-term relationships?
*Are you looking for a role where you can grow, develop niche expertise and be part of a close-knit, supportive team?
If so, this could be a brilliant fit.
What’s great about this Tax Advisor role? Here’s what candidates genuinely care about - and what makes this opportunity stand out:
*Real technical variety - You’ll work with rural businesses, HNWIs, partnerships, trusts and family-owned enterprises - no two clients look the same.
*Exposure to complex advisory work - You’ll get hands-on involvement in areas like IHT planning, Capital Gains Tax, VAT advisory, SDLT and HMRC enquiries - ideal if you want to develop depth in specialist tax.
*A supportive, people-first culture - This is a firm where teams describe themselves as collaborative, down-to-earth and genuinely invested in each other’s careers. Managers are approachable, patient and want you to succeed.
*Clear development and progression - You’ll be working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners who actively encourage growth. Your input will matter, and there is a genuine route to progress within a growing specialist team.
Your role as a Tax Advisor Rather than repeating a job spec, here’s what the role really looks like day-to-day:
You’ll be a trusted partner to your clients, helping them navigate tax challenges and plan for the future. You’ll be working alongside senior experts, supporting a client base that values long-term relationships and reliable advice.
On a typical day, you might be:
* Speaking directly with clients about ongoing tax matters

* Supporting colleagues across different departments

* Working through technical queries on IHT, CGT or VAT

* Helping junior team members build their skills

* Spotting planning opportunities and raising them proactively

You sit at the heart of the team - contributing to the firm’s specialist offering and helping maintain their excellent reputation in the rural and property sectors.
What you’ll need to succeed as a Tax Advisor Beyond the technical elements, the team is looking for someone who brings:
* Strong communication and a client-first mindset

* Curiosity, technical interest and a willingness to learn

* Confidence working with a wide range of clients

* A commercial approach and problem-solving attitude

* The ability to mentor and support junior staff

Essential: ACA/ACCA and/or CTA + minimum 3 years’ tax experience within practice.
