Pay: £140-£220 per day

Prospero Teaching are supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Chester area who are seeking a full-time Science Teacher for a long-term role starting in January. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate subject specialist who enjoys delivering high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4.
The role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons that support pupils’ scientific understanding, exam preparation and overall development. You’ll work closely with the school’s science department, pastoral team and senior leaders to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported and valued. The school are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and committed to high teaching standards.
Responsibilities
*Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum
*Creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment
*Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress
*Supporting both academic and personal development of students
*Managing behaviour in line with school policies
*Working effectively with colleagues, support staff and pastoral teams
*Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff

*Easily accessible from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wirral and surrounding areas
The ideal candidate
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
*Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
*Confident, enthusiastic and able to motivate learners
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Reliable, proactive and committed to high standards
*Understanding of safeguarding and secondary school policies
