Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Part-Time (25 hours per week)
Salary: £26,715 - £29,250 FTE depending on experience
Location: North Oxfordshire

Reed Accountancy are proud to be partnering with a construction company in North Oxfordshire who are seeking a detail-focused and reliable Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team at their head office on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, stays organised under pressure, and wants to develop their finance experience in a supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
*Process Purchase Ledger invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
*Handle Subcontractor invoices, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external requirements.
*Prepare and execute regular payment runs.
*Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and internal teams.
*Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes.
*Provide general support to the Finance department as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance or administration role.
*Proficient use of relevant technology and software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
*Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritisation skills.
*Ability to manage risk and adopt a ’Right First Time’ policy.
*High attention to detail and superb organisation and communication skills.
*Ability to manage time and deliver to deadlines.
Bonus Points:
*Competence with accounting software (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
