Job Description:
Teaching Assistant (SEN) - 5 days a week
*Annual Salary: Competitive

*Contract type: 5 days a week with the opportunity to go permanent

Role Responsibilities
*Student Support: Provide daily assistance and support to students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their educational and personal development goals.
*Behaviour Management: Effectively manage and respond to challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner, ensuring a safe and positive classroom environment.
*Educational Assistance: Work closely with the lead teacher to implement tailored educational plans and activities that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
*Collaboration and Communication: Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency in support and care for students.
*Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills in special education and behavioural management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting dealing with behavioural challenges.
*Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
*Qualities: High levels of patience, resilience, and empathy, with a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
*Education: Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs, or psychology are highly desirable.
