Finance Assistant – Law Firm
Location: Fordingbridge (with potential travel to branch offices)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager in a busy law firm with multiple branch offices. This role involves managing office accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Transaction Processing: Handle daily payments, receipts, and transfers; complete day-end balancing procedures.
*Billing & Payments: Process bills, payments, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
*Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile office accounts and maintain accurate records.
*Compliance: Ensure all paperwork is complete and adheres to SRA Accounts Rules.
*Query Resolution: Assist staff and departments with finance-related queries.
*Reporting: Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in a finance role is essential; experience in a law firm or professional services environment is advantageous.
*Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
*Willingness to learn all areas of finance, including management accounts, billing, invoicing, and purchase orders.
